IIS smarty errors on install

Sorry, I am trying to post this in the install forum, but it keeps posting it in this forum.
any help would be appreciated...

I have recieved the following errors on trying to run tiki-install.php for the first time

Warning: main(Smarty/Smarty.class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Websites\tiki\tiki-install.php on line 11

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'Smarty/Smarty.class.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in D:\Websites\tiki\tiki-install.php on line 11

Does anyone know what I have done wrong?
I have set the directory permissions to the entire tiki directory to full control for both IIS users

The file it seems to be looking for is actually in this directory: lib\smarty\libs.

I'm an asp.net developer and don't know much about php so any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Also, can I use a SQL2000 database instead of MySQL?

Thanks

Hi!

Sounds like you have a mix-up of 1.7 and 1.8 tiki's as 1.7 had smarty living in /Smarty/ and 1.8 has it in /lib/smarty/....

I would remove and install a fresh 1.8.4.1 and review making the IIS changes.

I do have 1.8's running on mssql 2k without any problems.

thanks for the help.
From the documentation, I thought 1.8 wasn't ready for windows yet, so
I downloaded version 1.7.9 and followed the installation directions.
I'll delete those files and try version 1.8.4.1.

Thanks again
