    hi, please help....first time user of tikiwiki...
    i created a gallery and uploaded two pictures.
    http://www.daoyuban.speckz.org/tiki-galleries.php

    but the thumbnail is as big as the original pictures. can't find anywhere that can downsize. tried to change the thumbnail size to 45X45 but did not work.

    tried to toggle between GD and Imagick but still did not work.

    What's wrong? i am using a free service from speckz.org

    Hi,

    Sounds like the speckz.org hosting services do not have a working GD or ImageMagick

    you can that by going to Admin menu clicking the [+] or :: and clicking phpinfo, look for a GD or ImageMagick info box somewhere halfwayish on that page.

    If neither is listed then you need to speak to the host and get them to add one. Also check the PHP memory_limit, for working with Images you need it set to at least 16Mb or ideally 32Mb, against ask the host.

    Alternatively try a TikiFriendlyHosts

    thank you indeed for the help and the problem is now solved after the hosting company upgraded to the latest version of tikiwiki.

    got another question regarding the image galleries, is it possible to create sub-categories like coppermine?
