    Has anyone successfully implemented a WYSIWYG editor for wikis, articles, fourms, etc... instead of the default wiki syntax editor. I see that in 1.7 release notes a WYSIWYG editor was supposed to be in place, but cannot find it.. Thanks in advance...!!

    Htmlarea is included in 1.7, and is only avalaible in blogs and user modules for tests. It's planned to spread it everywhere (with admin choice for activation).

    Cool Mose as I'm crying out for this. I'm aiming for a rollout for my team at work but there's damn all hope of getting them to do the wiki code unfortunately.

    Hmm.. that was not my post. When I hit submit it copied some one else's.

    Anyway, my question was about WYSIWYG. I see conflicting postings on the issue. Some indicate that it is incompatible with this software. Others seem to indicate it is close to development. Any inside information?

    Recently Mose has been implementing FCKeditor in Tiki 1.10. Works fine in the little testing I've done. You can download a 1.10 snapshot here (tar.bz2) (zip) if you want to check it out.

    Thanks for your help. I decided to give tikiwiki and FCKeditor a try. Tikiwiki seems much more user friendly. Your site has help; their site has limited directions. I am trying to uncompress the FCKeditor file that I downloaded with some difficulty. Anyway, that's a problem for me to figure out with FCKeditor and my hosting company.

    I was wondering when people thought Tiki 1.10 would roll out. It would be a lot easier to just use it from the get go.

    From what I have seen so far from playing around with tikiwiki, you guys will do a bang up job. I have been able to do a lot from your videos, etc.

    As a side note, I noticed a number of other people in the forum were having trouble getting FCKeditor up and running with their tikiwiki. Maybe some encouraging by your organization would encourage them to post more thorough installation directions.

    Well, FCKeditor seems not to support tiki-syntax! Only html is read and produced.

    But only for the wiki as far as I know.
    The wysiwyg editor does not work for the articles.

    I posted above trying to find out when 1.10 would roll out because installing fckeditor was a pain. However, both I and another person had their posts go up twice during the conversations. I have a guess why. I hit reply to a person that had two posts. So did the other person who posted twice. I wonder the the reply button made out posts reply to both of the earlier posts.
