Multilingual/i18n

I'm wondering if it would be advisable to make TW move beyond a mere multilingual cms, and make a translation machine.

i.e.:

Multilingual cms: pages are translated for the same website.
Translation machine: pages are exported in elsewhere usable formats.

Seems to me, in terms of programming, a simple extension from multilingual cms.
