How do you remove the need for useres to enter their email to log into the site? i cant find it under the login options for admin ware you would think they would be.
Also
When a new user goes to register IIS spits out this error, and dont go telling me i need to go to apachie on linux I KNOW THAT ALREDY short on computers. so if you wana give me a server hand it over :-)
Here is the error,
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: checkdnsrr() in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\community\lib\registration\registrationlib.php on line 51

Any help fixing this woudl be great

The answer to your first question is I think; go to:

Admin panel > Login > Validate users by email

The answer to your second question is why by a new box if you upgrade your current one from IIS/Windows to Linux/Apache? :-) I can't help with the error as I don't do Windows.

Regards,

Pat.

as for the validate users by email that is still the same as it was in 1.6 that is a email is sent by tiki to the users email wiht a link that acctivates their account. This is for forcing the use of real emails. deactivating it does not remove the email line from the login pannel for tiki. Right now it asks for three things username email password. we woudl like to go back to 1.6 style of only having username and password required for log in. Just like on tikiwiki.org's login. Also as for formating htat computer. Its for a small buissness it is currently the only computer they have. So all apps must run on it. And cant duel boot yoru server it just doesnt make sence.
