    I just tried installing 1.9 to have a look at the new goodies but the menu's don't expand when I try to toggle them

    I had a scout round the forums and there seems to be a similar common error when you edit the template files, but seeing as this is a fresh install I don;t see how that can be the cause.

    Is it a permissions problem or something? (It's not a browser thing I don;t think, because I can toggle the menus on this site)

    Set up is:
    Apache
    PHP 4.3.2
    Mysql 4.0.2

    Any help would be great!

    Hi, I just figured out the problem that you are having.

    When the Templates are being compiled, php is timing out, and never
    completing for some reason, I bet that you cannot edit wiki's either. Anywho
    to fix this I had to increae the

    (note these vars are in, if you are on a *Nix box /usr/local/etc/php.ini)

    max_execution_time = 100
