Warning: ob_start(): output handler... Error

Whenever I try to access Tikiwiki, I now get the following error message at the top of the screen:

Warning: ob_start(): output handler 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used after 'URL-Rewriter' in /home/lajolla/public_html/tiki/tiki-setup.php on line 1425

Does anyone know the cause and workaround for this?

melissa, it just appeared on tikiwiki.org. Odd. It has been reported as a bug.

Are yu talking about yur site or tw.org?

I'm referring to my own site. It seems to be intermittent and not related to any change made with admin privileges.

Well, it looks half intermittent.
This means, approximately speaking, that some thing triggers it (can some thing stop it too? from the shoutbox it looks like it would have ceased now on tikiwiki.org). But it doesn't happen every pageview.
So good luck 😐

It's certainly persistent at Tiki Documentation. This is what I see with IE6 every time:
"Warning: ob_start(): output handler 'ob_gzhandler' cannot be used after 'URL-Rewriter' in /home/mose/var/tikidemo/tiki-setup.php on line 1058"
😬

Hi kumquat,
I'm not a native anglophone, so maybe I should understand, but what means "It's certainly persistent at Tiki Documentation."?
Which Tiki Documentation are you talking about?

I think Kumquat is talking about the Tiki Documentation (pages) on tikiwiki.org.

Regards,

Pat.

I saw mose reply to one of the first reports of this bug some days ago in Shoutbox... let me find this.

Uh, I just looked during half an hour and couldn't find it.
