    A question about the remember me check-box - I think. I am using version 1.8.5 (If I remember correctly). When logged-in users take their time editing a page the system may log them out - as consequence when hitting save/post they are informed that they are not logged in and can not post.....and they lose everything they have written. My question is - is this related to the remember me button? How can I solve this problem for my users. It takes the "quick" away form wiki if I advise them to use a wordprocesser first and then cut and paste.

    Yes, remember me is for that (even if it has been reported as broken in some cases).

    Moreover, when you are said that you cannot post or whatever (your session has expired), if you open a new browser window of the same browser, then login in this second window at your site, and then reload the page in the first window of your browser,... then you will see that your content was not completely lost.
