Tons of Formatting Questions

Hi folks,

I'm just wondering how I can do the following???

- how can I edit the properties of a theme? colors, fonts, images/icons used, etc.?
- how can I control the size of boxes? also, how can I set their background color/image?
- ditto for tables
- how can you show *all* available editting options instead of just Quicktags?
- how can you make the TOC collapsable?
- how can I remove the ads at the bottom of each Tiki page?
- how can you do indents without introducing large spaces between each line?
- how can you control what bullet type is used in a list?
- how can you link to a specific forum? how can you add a forum (not just a link to it) to a Wiki page?

I am very new to tikiwiki, so I only can answer some questions. As far as editing the properties of a theme, the size of boxes, etc. just go to the General admin page. Where you see your theme, click where it says to edit it. Then you can make any changes to the CSS right there.

You can remove the ads at the bottom by going to Admin, then Features, and then unchecking the "bottom bar icons" at the bottom of that page.

As far as bullet styles, I would think that could be controlled in your style sheet.

You can link to a specific forum by simply finding the page it is on, and linking to it. You should be able to embed something like latest forum posts in a list by using the modules.

And I'm sure someone with much more experience will provide a more helpful post!
:)

See How to create a custom theme in the docs.

See Wiki Syntax Lists in the docs.

Thanks for responding typeamom, I didn't seem to have an "Edit" button on my Template page. In any case, I still need to do some more reading on the topic.

Ricks99 - where are the FAQ's? I could swear I've seen them somewhere, but I can't find them now 😢
