kudos on the latest TikiWiki version!

However, if I could figure out how to report a bug, I would post one to the effect that now when an event is saved to the calendar and then re-opened, the time the event is scheduled for moves to the previous hour.

Prior to this version, the time had advanced to one hour later. I'm not sure moving to the previous hour is an improvement.

And I apologize that my first comment on the new Wiki is a bug report. I do appreciate all the time and effort that has gone into 1.9.8!!

I posted something similar a month back. I also agree the development folks are awesome and since I am not a programmer I doubly thank them for what they do for us. I try to giove back by commenting here when I learn something.

The calendar, unfortunately has been and continues through 1.10 to be problematic (though to be quite fair, 1.10 is not a stable release).

The curious phenomenon you report also happened to me in 1.98 and the issue has to do with the difference between the server's time and yours (you likely host one hour outside your time zone). Tiki seems to assume that if you re-edit that you always want to keep all information except the hour. Somehow it preloads some server time an hour off from what you entered. I never did find a solution to this and could not even find a way to warn folks about the problem without confusing them. After a year or so of trying I gave up, commented out the time function entirely in the add event template file and assumed the folks entering events would have the time info in their description. I get error messages but the calendar works so I ignore them.

Another issue is the default to 24 hr time. You have to go into the template files and actually change a value. This works fine, except in the pop up event which has defied all efforts to get it off 24 hr time. I disabled that too.

1.10 does solve the time zone problem nicely -but the template and php files have changed so I haven't yet been able to get in and hunt for the way to change it to 12hrAM/PM. Rick S has had some ideas that I am trying.

There are other issues and I'd be happy to throw in my two cents with anyone who is programming the calendar.
