Remove Page

How do I remove a page?

When I click "remove page" the page disappears from my "recent visits" and "hot pages" WIKI modules, but if I have any direct links to that page, they still work. Is that how it's supposed to work?

I checked admin for some sort of "auto-restore pages that are directly linked to" option, but couldn't see one.

You click the "Remove" link on the page (or the delete icon in the list of wiki pages).

Well, I guess you mean the links work in that they are still links. The linked-to page is gone, though, so they show with the question mark, right? That's how it works, as far as I know. Tiki will update links in pages when a page name is changed, but I guess for removed pages it's up to the site admin to deal with the old links. You can use the WANTEDPAGES (or something like that) plugin in a page to find all links-without-pages.

Yeah, I don't think there is such a thing, but the plugin is handy for finding the links.

No, I mean this, for example:

I have a page called PISKillMe. It has some content in it. I click on the "remove" link at the bottom and I get the option to remove the page and also to remove ALL versions of the page. I click on "remove" and it says "Page removed."

If I then go to my URL line and type: http://xxxxxx/~xxx/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=PISKillMeQuestion

I am taken immediately back to the page. It does not appear to be being removed in any way..?

I can't find documentation on this..
There is a "cache" page on my main WIKI with a display of "no pages cached" and my devWIKI page doesn't show a thing when I go to cache, but I cannot find a cache setting in settings: general / features?
If it WAS turned on, where could I go to turn it off (to test?)

Do you have the Cache Wiki Pages option enabled? See the docs, hereQuestion, for details.

To clear the 3 Tiki caches, use the Exterminator area on the System Admin page.

To clear your browser's cache, try Shift+F5 (may vary, depending on your browser/OS).

See hereQuestion for more details.

FOUND it, thanks =)

Caches on both the main and dev wiki are set to 0-no cache
