Gallery Next Image Button Loads Same Image

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

http://www.wacots.org/tiki-browse_gallery.php?galleryId=64&offset=120Question

I have many galleries and they all have the same problem the "next image" button keeps loading the same image instead of advancing.

All the other buttons work fine.

Thanks

That is strange. As you can see hereQuestion, this button normally works OK in Tiki 1.9.9. Is yours a fresh Tiki installation or was it upgraded from an older version. (Just wondering if maybe some file wasn't replaced.)

It was a fresh install

The file tiki-browse_image.php was updated about a month ago. If there's a chance you aren't using the latest version, you could get it hereQuestion and upload it to your Tiki's root directory.

I downloaded the most recent version and did a fresh install and made a gallery with nothing else to see if maybe something I uploaded might have caused the problem but its still doing the same thing.
fresh install below
http://www.wacots.org/wccdc/dd/tiki-index.phpQuestion its has no pages just the one gallery

I also uploaded the file you posted to http://www.wacots.orgQuestion and it still does the same thing.😕

Over all I think the software is terrific

I wiped out my website doh. thank god for sql dumper. what was i thinking I used the same data base for both sites. 😂

Its a fresh install on both urls now 🙄 at least till I set up a new database, but you can see its does it on a fresh install too.

Hey there. Yeah I encountered this problem myself. It happens when you enable image scaling and have a number of scales. Or at least that was the source of the problem for me. Tikiwiki stores an array of image ids, which it sorts according to the order you want your images in. It uses a find function or something to work out the next image. The problem is that when you have scaling enabled, each image's id occurs multiple times in this array...

I tweaked the script to correct for this... I've put some comments and etc... It could be to do with some particular version of php or something non tikiwiki related, but this provides a fix.

Thanks, Zeladin, I'll see about having your fix put in the code. wcts, this is a good example for me to remember that "Tiki working normally" isn't a black and white thing due to the many setup/configuration variables. I hope the fix works for you also.

I do thank you for your time. I think you do an excellent job coding all of this. I could never do it. I do have a stupid follow up question.

Is the Image scaling set up when i install Tiki Wiki? I cant seem to find anyway to change it. Ill admit I only tried for 15 mintues Ill keep looking but if you could point me in the right direction that would be great. Tim

Well, to be honest, I'm fairly sure that scaling isn't a default option... It would seem that you have a different problem - or did the fix work? It could easily be a related issue - unfortunately it would be difficult for me to figure out without having the same bug. Sorry if this doesn't work for you.

For a guide to image scaling you can go here - I'm sure there's an official one too somewhere.

The image won't load though - privacy settings... attached below.

Yeah, it's actually pretty non-intuitive. Basically you don't have scales setup, any scales have to be manually defined (see tutorial). So really you shouldn't have this problem. Except possibly thumbnails add an id entry (which if you think about it, its sort of a default scale) which would explain why an install with no scales would have this problem.

I noticed some buggyness switching from database stored images to filesystem stored images to do with the scales. Maybe the real source of the problem is there.
