    • Upgrade to 1.7.4

    hi there, basically, we(at theopencd.org) want to upgrade from 1.7.1.1 to the latest stable release, any good tips on how to do so?

    is it easy enough, or something i could mess up badly?

    You don't have to fear using a backup.
    There's a DB upgrade to 1.7.4.
    It's easy enough

    Please make sure you do a backup before performing any kind of upgrade.

    Its just common sense!

    well, yes, i certainly will, i just really wanted to know if there's an automatic upgrade option (ala phpBB2), and if i can simply overwrite all existing files with the contents of the new archive.

    ok, i'm getting the following errors from tiki-install.php now, any ideas?

    Warning: fopen("db/local.php", "w") - Permission denied in /home/groups/t/th/theopencd/htdocs/wiki/tiki-install.php on line 300

    Warning: Failed opening 'db/local.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php:lib/pear') in /home/groups/t/th/theopencd/htdocs/wiki/tiki-install.php on line 303

    i've edited the files as suggested by the http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=SourceForgeTikiInstall page
