Force the login process

Hi there,
I would like to know if it is possible to force the tikiwiki login process.

I want the login page for the home page, in order to force the users to log in. I have to modify the tiki-index page ?Do you guys have any hint for doing that?

Any help will be much apreciated.

❓

You could use the group pluginQuestion to do this. Try adding something like this to your home page:

Copy to clipboard
{GROUP(groups=>Registered)} ... your regular home page content ... {ELSE} {MODULE(module=>mod_login_box) /} {GROUP}

This way, an anonymous visitor will see only the login box, but after logging in,the regular content will appear.

I was going to say something along the lines of revoking the privilege of seeing content pages for the "anonymous" group. IE, the site is "private" / "invisible" unless logged in.

On the admin page, go to admin groups. Go the permissions (key symbol) for the group you're interested in (Anonymous) and deselect anything / everything you don't want them to be able to do on your site without logging in. By default isn't the only thing they can do NOTHING but view pages? Revoke that and you get "no anonymous access" or forced login. If I understand correctly...

Unless you're only wanted to do that for a single page (I assume that's how adding a line like that to a SINGLE page would work), in which case, the above comment might work, not sure, haven't tried it.

I just wonder whether you ONLY want that ONE page protected from anonymous users or ALL pages protected from anons? My guess would be the latter, but perhaps not... Granted that would probably mean that search engines might not be able to crawl your site if it's not publicly available to anonymous users. Don't know if that's good or bad in your instance.

Not that I know what I'm talking about. Mostly. ;o]
