    Howdy,

    Just did a clean install of 3.0

    2 things:

    1) something is weird in Admin Mods: WHen I try to use the filter selectors and find All for Any it reverts to show Themes for 3.0. Can't seem to make it show anything else.

    2) When I try to install one of the 3.0 themes (Faulkner) I get this error

    themes/faulkner_tiki_3/styles/faulkner/h3bg.jpg to styles/faulkner/h3bg.jpg impossible to copy


    Anyone else seeing this? Any help?

    I get this as well when trying to install that on 3.0, upgraded from 2.3

    You will need to delete the existing styles/faulkner "faulkner" folder on your server before it load. The permissions on the existing folder are not "write" they are read only. I tried before to delete and reset folder permissions but could not, I ended up renaming the folder then deleting it. Then install the new theme and it will create the new faulkner folder in styles folder

    mrpals, freeman57 or Botrax, could you please update the documentation so that this trick is explained there?
    Maybe at the corresponding page about the Upgrade from 2.x to 3.x? and/or anywhere where you might expect to find this answer? (maybe in some page about Mods also ?)

    Mods in 3.0? None will display but a few themes.

    The main problem remains. The selectors at tiki-mods.php don't work for me. No matter what I try to select, they open ALL for 3.0 and just shows the 3.0 themes.

    I can't get a mods listing for anything else.

    The mods version information is being revamped, iirc, and maybe only recent changes have the right info to show up in your admin mods. Anyway, the themes I've updated there have the indication, but I don't think there's any testing procedure for other mods files to confirm that they're 3.0 compatible. But you can view the mods repository in your browser at http://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tikiwiki/mods/trunk/ and get files that way, then upload them, installing in the correct locations. If you have specific questions about that, post again.

    BTW, most 'impossible to copy' errors are due to an inconsistency between mods file information in a package description file that each mod has, and the actual files (and their paths) at sourceforge. If you report the file or mod you're trying to get, I can check to make sure the package information is accurate.

    freeman57, that might mean that all the other Mods are not tested in tiki 3. Use at y our own risk.
    You can manually install any mod, getting them from http://mods.tikiwiki.org
    And there should be some docs about manual installation of Mods somewhere in the Documentation

    Please, improve that pages if possible.
