topbar

Hello,
today i tried the new release of tikiwiki. I like the menubar in the top. But how can I define/customize the entries?

thx

fin swimmer

On the Look and Feel admin page (tiki-admin.php?page=look), you can enter the Id number of the menu that you want to use. You can make a menu on the admin menus page (tiki-admin_menus.php). See the docs at http://doc.tikiwiki.orgQuestion for more information.

I think you can modify the existing top menu bar using the admin menus area. When I did it, I saw two menus on the default list; Something like "my menu" and "application menu". I think the top bar menu is the "my menu" one. Click the edit icon next to the "pencil" edit icon that looks like a sheet of paper. Scroll down on the page that's presented and you'll see the existing menu items. Then you can add/change/delete items. Good luck, -H

Horch, just to clarify, the admin menus area is for creating a new menu or editing an existing one. There is no place on this page to select the menu for the top bar. That's specified on the Look and Feel admin page (tiki-admin.php?page=look). More info at http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=menusQuestion. (I wonder if this thread is another one hit by the broken-url-missing-replies bug.)

Gary; Yes, you are correct of course! What I was trying to say was that "if" they already had a topbar menu, if probably was the default and that it's possible to edit the default menu items. Sorry for the confusion. I'll stay out of things... -H

No, no need to stay out of things. 😊 Everyone's suggestions and advice, etc. is appreciated. Thanks for posting.

Hi
My first post in this forum
I am using tikiwiki 3.0 and am working on an info system for my organisation. My users get a "you do not have permission to use this feature" when they try to access the top bar menu I have created. Please help. Can't find any place where permissions have been set for this feature
