Group Assignment of Module Posted by Leighton 03 Jun 2010 13:59 UTC G'Day, Can anyone help me out with how I only display the "new user registration" module when visited by an anonymous user. There's no point in displaying it if a user is registered and logged in but I can't figure out how to control it using Groups. Cheers
Posted by Leighton 04 Jun 2010 03:36 UTC Solved - Well sort of. I'm using 4.2 and suspect this is a bug. A workaround is to create a module with the register module inside it. Visibility is controlled using GROUP. The added benefit is that this can be displayed inside a page. vis: {GROUP(groups=Anonymous)} {MODULE(module=>register)}{MODULE} {GROUP}
Posted by Xavier de Pedro 04 Jun 2010 11:33 UTC oh well, you can do that much simpler: just assign that module register (or whatever module) to group anonymous, and not registered. Then, enable that setting to hide from registered the anonymous only modules... Read about it (and further details) at the documentation about Module Admin HTH

Well, another comment: avatars in this site are usually for either user picture or for avatar (in the deep meaning of that word). It's not intended for publicity of each other's companies, etc. And (personal opinion) I don't get the need to add in your reply the details about what is your company about... I would suggest that you don't add that in all your messages, or it might be considered as spam, and you might no have that spamming purpose...
