I'm new to Wiki and especially brand new to TikiWiki. But I like what I see and would like to install on a virtual host account.
Specifically I would like to convince my ISP to install Tiki so that all local vhost account holders could utilize Tiki services independently.
I'm continuing to read thru much of the Install* documentation at tikiwiki.org but have some questions I need answered before investing too much time in studying the feasibility of going with a Tiki installation
My ISP is currently running RedHat 7.1 but has warned us that they'll very soon be moving to FreeBSD 5.1, with Apache 1.3.29, MySQL 4.0+, Perl 5.8.2 and PHP 4.3.4 and each of the vhost accounts will run in it's own "chroot jail".
Will Tiki run on FreeBSD?
Can Tiki be installed on a virtualhost server and at the same time allow vhost account holders to configure/admin their own implmentation of Tiki?
Or does a complete installation of Tiki need to be installed in the small amount of disk space alloted to each vhost account (50MB)?
How much disk space does the base Tiki install require?
Is there a help doc listing the base and optional components, and the associated resource requirments, one can choose during the Tiki install?
Also is there a help doc listing all the various optional Tiki plug-ins and resource requirements?
Thank you for any info.
