Different home page if logged in or not?

i'm setting up a server (tiki 10.2) on my internal network and the HOMEPAGE that people see when the go to the site and aren't logged in shows them a message and tells them to log in.

once they are logged in i want the home page to be different, something i can add info and links to that i don't want people NOT logged in to see.

Thanks

You can choose the homepage to be a wiki, blog or static article. Whatever you choose, just do not grant any rights to 'Anonymous'. If someone without appropriate rights wants to watch, he/she'll see the hint to log in.

You may grant view permission to group 'Registered'. Thus everybody who is logged in can see your homepage.

That is exactly what I was trying to do, thanks!

I'm sure I'll have more questions soon 😊

Yes, if you do not use the default wiki as homepage.

Try it step by step:
1) Remove all 'Anonymous' group permissions
2) Grant wiki read permission wiki to group 'Registered'
3) Run a test
4) Change homepage (this is the complex part, example for a blog)
4a) activate feature blog
4b) create a blog
4c) set it as default blog
4d) change Tiki homepage to blog
5) Re-adjust permissions

This is the basic idea, maybe some finetuning steps are missing. If (when) everything works:
6) Write a little howto documentation for our doc.tiki.org website or post a step-by-step howto here (forum).
7) Enjoy and have fun 😊

i'm almost there. have a little more work to do to get the Main page to change once i am logged in (it's still showing the blog), but here is what i have done so far.

Create Blog

Admin, General, Navigation (advanced is checked)

USE TIKI FEATURE as homepage (BLOG)
HOME BLOG (pick created blog)

Permissions
Assign Permissions
ONLY READ BLOG (tiki_p_read_blog) for anonymous

| Permissions
| Assign Permissions
| ONLY READ BLOG (tiki_p_read_blog) for anonymous

This will make the homepage visible for users who are not logged in, if the blog is your homepage. You need to cancel read permission for anonymous.
