JQ tracker issues
I am following this resource for JQ:

I am using a pretty tracker and am on the template page which looks mainly like this:

I am able to do things like .hide() DIVs and what not, although I remain unable to manipulate anything to do with trackers. I cannot even get the text of a field.
All I want to be able to do is set a var to the text of a field in JQ, which resides at the bottom of my page (not sure if that makes a difference).
I have come to the conclusion that I must be missing a crucial plugin or setting.
