Problem with Searh Box... What is wrong?

I have a Search box in my site http://nilostep.com/j2ee-howto/ if I do a search on say 'Java' and I select Entire Site I get as a search result:

An entire blank page except for the following two lines.
$result is false
$result is empty
I presume this is an Error???

If I do a search on say 'Java' and I select Wiki Pages I get a selection of pages with the word 'Java'.
I would expect this kind of behaviour.

I am a total ignorant Newbie and as far as Tiki is concerned "I know nothing"...

  • what is (more or less) the procedure when you experience an error / bug / whatever? ( I am asking because of the not so very friendly atmosphere in dev forum where you won't see me again. Maybe this is different.)

ThankZ to -He: who writes the answer-

Bye,

Hi There

If you have Tiki 1.8 > try the search_new box instead of the search box. 1.8 has a different way of searching to 1.7 family

Also do you have full text search turned on?

Hi jimcp,
Only those two lines is strange. Usually you should get a file and a line nmber where an error occured.
Bugs should be reported at SourceForge as explained on ReportBug.
A good alternative to these forums is IRC ahnnel #tikiwiki.
;)

I wouldnt say IRC was a replacement for the forums, more an extra support tool 😎
