    my newsletters are being droped by receiving SMTP party on the ground that www-data at domain.com is not existent, even I specified an email address in General/Sernder Email (btw: the sender address was used for a localdelivery to someone@localhost but for others domains www-data at domain.com appears to be used as sender 😢

    There have been recent commits to the newsletters area. Personally I would hang on for 1.8.2 and test then, or grab the latest via anonymous CVS, details are on http://sourceforge.net/projects/tikiwiki
