    In 1.8.1 I have tried to change the application menu as admin, but nothing seems to work. The changes I make show up in the preview. I have tried clearing the /templates_c /modules/cache /temp/cache with tiki closed, as well as, clearing Mozilla's cache.

    I tried changing general to display folders, changing the menu to fixed, changing the home page.

    Something hidden seems to generate the menu.

    Anyone know what is going on with this.

    Hi bardi,
    I must admit this is a common question. The default application menu is an hardcoded module, to use the custom menu you must assign it to a module and use that module instead of the hardcoded one.
