Wiki CRASH

We recently set up a Wiki site. When setting up the rights for users in the Admin menu, I tried to disconnect a Group that I had previously associated with another Group. Upon doing so the site crashed. No one could access the site. The message said that the (PHP?) memory had been exceeded, and we had to have the site completely reinstalled from scratch.

Any ideas of what went wrong?

Doh!

Did you not see the first article on the Home page? 🙄

Reinstall wasnt needed, just increase the memory limit. If you dont increase the memory limit it will happen again and again until you do.

Thanks, Damian:

Yes, the gentleman that tried to fix the site had changed the memory limit to 32MB (the max), but it still would not work.

He suspects that I may have made a circular referance in the Admin Groups (i.e. one group references another which references the original group.). I would think that this would be protected against occuring somewhere in the code, but perhaps not.

Oh well, onwards and upwards.
