The CMS Critic awards were started three years ago in order to fill a gap that was missing in the business software industry. While there have been similar awards in the past that have been given out, none have been truly focused on ensuring fair exposure and opportunity to all players in the market. This is the reason the CMS Critic awards were created.
The products / companies with the most nominations (valid ones that is) will be shortlisted for the voting stage. As this first portion of the awards is the People's Choice portion, this all relies on you and your nominations (and votes once we get to that stage) so please support Tiki! Actual voting begins September 15.
TikiWiki CMS/Groupware (http://tikiwiki.org), the open source, wiki-based content management system continues to be one of the most active projects on SourceForge, consistently ranking in the top 15 in terms of SVN code commits (http://sourceforge.net/project/stats/rank_history.php?group_id=64258&ugn=tikiwiki).
According to Ohloh.net, Tiki is "one of the largest open-source teams in the world, and is in the top 2% of all project teams on Ohloh." (http://www.ohloh.net/p/tikiwiki/factoids/). This diverse and extensive community effort has fueled more than 800,000 downloads (http://sourceforge.net/project/stats/detail.php?group_id=64258&ugn=tikiwiki&type=prdownload) plus countless one-click installations through control panel applications such as Fantastico.

TikiWiki has been named to the Seventh Annual EContent 100. The annual list contains the companies "that matter most in the digital content industry."
The wealth of new features and enhancements contained in the upcoming Release 1.10 will no doubt maintain Tiki's position as one of the best digital content and social media platforms.
