We would need access to a phpinfo(); output to be able to help, as you havent left us any settings

RecipeBigUploads might help as well

Thanks, I had just found that myself. It is a local machine.

Now I can upload .gif files, but when I try a .jpg file I get:

"Uploaded file ist not recognized as a image" (sic).

I see that the tiki-upload_image.php specifically checks for the .gif extension. Is this all that is supported?

Sorry, I did not post a new php info. As an aside that is a lot of unneeded info now, is there some way that I can delete it?

When I switched to the RC3 versions, I noticed that under the admin images section that GD was not detected. Doing some checking, I found that my version was not loading because it was not thread safe and php was. I got and compliled a new version, and now the status shows as GD Detected, version: 2.0

Even though gd is installed, and detected, I stiill am unable to upload images.

I got it to work. I enabled error messages and found that I was trying to reference a 'geographic' index in the tiki-galleries table, and trying to insert data into 'lon' and 'lat' fields in the tiki-images table. None of these fields existed. I added the 'missing' fields.

Also, any page that uses a gallery or image generates the following error:

Warning: Unknown: 2 result set(s) not freed. Use mysql_free_result to free result sets which were requested using mysql_query() in Unknown on line 0

and the apache error log records a memory leak when the .php function ends.

In addition, the 'thumbnails' where the same size as the original. That seems to have been fixed when I rebuilt php and linked with my system jpeg libraries instead of the php supplied default ones.
