    I have set permissions for file and image galleries for registered users to be able to view, upload and download files and images. When I log on as a regular user, I get none of these privileges. Instead, I get the message, "Permission denied you cannot view this section."

    Why can assigned users and groups not view the galleries?

    Did you assign the permissions to the 'registered' group? Are there any individual permission set on galleries? Individual permissions always override global permissions.

    Pat,

    I had assigned view, upload and batch upload permissions to registered users and view to anonymous in the Assign Permissions to Gallery X section. They just get the Permission Denied message when trying to get to the galleries.

    Is this not what I should have done?

    That sounds OK to me. I'd suggest removing all the permissions and try reapplying them again. Maybe something got messed up in the database? 😕

    OK. I found where to do this and have it all fixed. Thanks a lot!
