Linking to Attachments

Is there an easier way to link to attachments in a WIKI page. Most WIKIs that i have used have a attachment button that will popup a window that shows you all the possible attachments. You can just click on one and it will update the link URL.

Right now with TIKIWIKI, i have to remember to full name of the attachment or some index number before i click EDIT to have a link to this attachments and do it all manually.

Am i missing something?

thks,
ak

This thread is old too - same problem here. Is this listed somewhere? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

Ok, I've spent the last 90 minutes looking for a solution to this in the documentation, here on the forums, googling, etc.

There are two problems with the Attachment "manager":

a) Joe Smith uploads a file, which he places within a wiki page. If he deletes the syntax that references the file, it's still there in the Attachment list, but is there a way to put the document back into the wiki? It appears the user would have to remember the exact name of the document,e.g. "My Complicated Document Name for West Corp Widget Company" - and then type this into the syntax for it to reappear.

There isn't a way to pull up an attachment list for that particular wiki page?

b) File galleries aren't going to work for this as a solution. It still doesn't solve the problem, unless I've overlooked something.

Please TW community - any thoughts/hints?
