YouTube embedding

I would like to embed some YouTube videos into my wiki pages.

I have set the page to "Allow HTML", and included the "embed code" from YouTube (I have tried to include the that code for display here, but even when I surround it with ~np~, half the code disappears after previewing or posting).

Any thoughts as to how to embed YouTube video?

EDIT: The < IFRAME > tag below will insert a whole page of an external site, not what the question above wanted and it won't work in the wiki section. This will work in the static html pages. Its great if you want to display a external site or web tool on your site, but yet keep them on yours. I'll have to read the questions more carefully before I reply 😀 .

You can use the html < IFRAME > tag.

< IFRAME SRC="http://youtube.com/browse?s=mp" TITLE="YouTube Video Listing" WIDTH=600 HEIGHT=800 >
< !-- Alternate content for non-supporting browsers — >
< H2 >Your Browser Don't Support Frames< /H2 >
Please use the direct link to < A href="http://youtube.com/browse?s=mp" target="_blank">the YouTube video listing.< /A >
< /IFRAME >

(Note the tags above are broken with spaces to display the code!)

This way it displays the content in a frame, you'll need to adjust the frame size if you dont want scroll bars (WIDTH=600 HEIGHT=800), it will display a link to the content if viewed with a browser that don't support frames. This isn't a problem with most new browsers.

Tiki's FLASH plugin has no trouble showing ))YouTubehttp://zukakakina.com/YouTubeQuestion. See the code for what URL to use. There is also a" class="wiki wikinew text-danger tips">videos. See http://zukakakina.com/YouTubeQuestion. See the code for what URL to use. There is also aYouTube(( plugin documented at YouTubeQuestion. I'm not sure if this plugin is still in CVS only or available at mods.tikiwiki.org.

(Embed code is stripped out even when HTML is allowed, because of the potential security risk. This is one thing wiki plugins are for: to provide the functionality without the vulnerability. 😊 For wiki page display solutions, the first step should be to check what the wiki syntax and plugins provide, rather than falling back to HTML.)

How do I find that code on youtube. all the videos that I look at have the "..watch?v...." in them.

Thanks
