    • How to show the files galleries

    Dear all,

    I am playing with TikiWiki features and so far everything goes well. I just have not could let users to see the file galleries. I have added privileges to groups (tiki_p_download_files,tiki_p_upload_files, tiki_p_view_file_gallery) but only the admin can see the option to enter to the files gallery. I did this process with image galleries and I did not have any problems. The only difference that I found is, in the image gallery there is an option to define who the owner or user of the gallery is, in the file galleries I can not see that option, it is fixed to "admin"

    If the user has tiki_p_view_file_gallery, the main menu items for File Gallery will be displayed. If you did not assign it to one of the groups that the user is in, but instead to specific galleries, the File Gallery menu options will not be visible.

    See Admin -> Menu with menuId=42. The 'permissions' column determines what permissions are req'd to make the specific menu item visible.

    Thanks Gary for your answer. Well I have all these options available for my group:
    tiki_p_chat(x)
    tiki_p_download_files(x)
    tiki_p_edit(x)
    tiki_p_forum_attach(x)
    tiki_p_forum_post(x)
    tiki_p_forum_post_topic(x)
    tiki_p_forum_read(x)
    tiki_p_forum_vote(x)
    tiki_p_take_survey(x)
    tiki_p_upload_files(x)
    tiki_p_view_file_gallery(x)
    tiki_p_view_image_gallery(x)
    tiki_p_vote_poll(x)

    As you can see tiki_p_view_file_gallery(x) is there, However nobody can see the galleries , only the admin can.

    It is strange.

    Gary, I know what is happening. If I am logged as admin the information about the file gallery is showed in the "menuId=42" inside a folder. It has two options “gallery list??? and “upload file??? (translation from Spanish to English), this is ok. If I am logged as registered user those two options are inside the Forum folder, that is why I could not see it.

    I least I can see it now.

    Any clue what I am doing wrong?

    The only way I can see that happening is if the permissions on the File Galleries (section) (menuId=42, id=82) was changed in the menu and it is now not displaying. It should also have tiki_p_view_file_gallery as the only permission. That would put all of its children in the previous section. If you still see it correctly as Admin, then File Galleries was not accidentally changed from (section) to (option)

    Well Gary I checked the options and File Galleries is set to "section" and permission is set "tiki_p_view_file_gallery."

    It is ok, i will let it in that way.
