Yahoo Publisher.

So im currently using Yahoo Publisher, which is similar to google's adsense. Anyways i was wondering if there was anyway to display those ads. I did try to create a php module page, similar to the google adsense one. But i was no able to get it to work. It wouldn't show up in the drop down menu, "Module Name" on the admins modules page.

So i was wondering if there is anyway to to use yahoo ads, or if someone could help me to setup, so it will display under the drop down menu.

I attached a file for viewing what i did. Im not sure if its formatted correctly, because i was using basic php scripting.

Also i see this javascript plugin, i installed it but how do i use it?

Very easy (especially if you already have the JS plugin installed).

  1. Create a new module. (See the docsQuestion)
  2. In the Data field (assuming you have the JS plugin), type:
    Copy to clipboard
    {JS()} .....paste the code from Yahoo .....only the part between the < script> statement {JS}
  3. Enable the Must be wiki parsed option.
  4. Save the module.
  5. Assign the module (make sure you also assign it to the Anonymous group, if you want everyone to see the ads).
  6. Refresh your cache.

HTH,

-RickQuestion

Copy to clipboard
{JS()} ctxt_ad_partner = "#########"; ctxt_ad_section = ""; ctxt_ad_bg = ""; ctxt_ad_width = 120; ctxt_ad_height = 600; ctxt_ad_bc = "3d515f"; ctxt_ad_cc = "7590a0"; ctxt_ad_lc = "fefefe"; ctxt_ad_tc = "000000"; ctxt_ad_uc = "fefefe"; {JS} {JS()} src="http://ypn-js.overture.com/partner/js/ypn.js"> {JS}

Okay so heres what i have.

Heres what the javascript looks like from yahoo.

Copy to clipboard
script language="JavaScript" src="http://ypn-js.overture.com/partner/js/ypn.js"

Thats the second script tag in the code they gave me, but i dont think i have it formatted right and thats probally why its not working. But ive tried various combinations and none seem to work.

{CODE()}

{CODE()}

This is how you do it. 😀
