    • Trying to Modify Home Page to Mimic This Site...

    Posted by Cycleogical

I just set this software up as a test site, and wanted to mimic the layout of this site below, for the home page:

    http://keycontent.org/tiki-index.php?page=HomeQuestion

I;ve tried to modify the tiki-custom_home.tpl and uploaded this but nothing changes, and even then, am not sure how to link different navigation in the home page. For example, I want a similar layout, with six categories such as "articles", "blogs", etc, and under each category, a listing of several sites.

The layout would be the same as the site above in theory.

Could someone please direct a newbie in this customization? What am I missing here?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for letting me know Rick - seems I touched base with the right contact, although, I can tell this is a highly custom job, I doubt I will need the all the features you managed.

I mostly just want to have the content massed into sections on the homepage and still inked throughout. I managed to customize a homepage and figured out the settings that were off, but I am just curious about matching the content of let's say "wiki' and 'articles' to those I have customized the html for on the home page. Is it just dropping in a line of code in the html custom that I am missing?

Thanks again for the links and advice.

I'm not sure I completely understand. If you simply want to include a list (and link to) of wiki pages and articles on your home page, you can use the appropriate pluginQuestion.

For that, however, you don't need to use the custom home page — it would just be a regular wiki page.
