WYSIWYG and file attachments

I'm trying to set up a CMS based on TikiWiki for a website. It is essential that people are allowed to upload files and link to them.

At the same time, the users of the page are not very computer-literate, which forces me to offer them the WYSIWYG editor.

The problem comes in when trying to attach a file to a page in WYSIWYG mode: if I switch to normal editor mode, the page doesn't parse the HTML code. If I force the page to parse HTML code, it doesn't parse the file link code. There's clearly a problem here with switching between normal and wysiwyg edit mode.

This wouldn't be so bad if the fckeditor version tikiwiki is using supported normal file uploads, but it only allows images.

Is there any way to turn on general file uploads in the FCKeditor installation in TikiWiki, and place links to them on the page? What fckconfig file is TikiWiki using?

Thanks,
