I plan to present little clips on my site, too, either in wiki pages or in articles, and thought to do it so:

• put a flash player somewhere in the files
• collecting the clips in the file galleries
• and then linking the several clips from the file gallery by refering to the player.

I can't tell you the exact code to write, because I actually have generally problems after the 2.1 upgrade, but hope, it helps you as an idea.

There's also a specific plugin for Youtube videos (the normal Flash plugin works fine for them, too, but the syntax of the Youtube plugin is a little easier, I guess).
