Yes, it is possible. Just create a new group and don't select "inherit all permissions from group ...". So you will get a new group without any permissions and can assign the permissions you would like to grant the group manually for each area / section by clicking on the edit-permissios-icon.

I´m new here, but i`ve got the first guestione, yet...!😂

My problem is the same, but i don´t have such a "select", when creating a new group...!?!?!

My Tiki-Version is 1.9.10!

Do you know something about that?

well, I don't remember how it was in 1.9.10.

If there isn't this select-box and permissions to a new group were assigned automatically, then you have the possibility, to take these ones manually away after clicking on the edit-permissios-icon for each group.

But I personally would think about an upgrade to vs. 2.2 (the actually newest stable version) primarily for security reasons 😉.
