Inside a category users cant create a new page

I have a category for example "Human Resources" I then have a member of said category "hrtest" I want to log in as "hrtest" and add content to the "Human Resources Homepage" I create a generic link "HRTestpage and save my edit the result is HRTestpage? but when I click on the "?" to add content I get an access denied.

I know this has to be a permission issue but I cant figure out which one. Help please and thank you

It sounds a bit to me like you are confusion groups and categories. A user (like your hrtest) should belong to a group. A page belongs to a category (set while editing the page). A group has certain permissions for pages belonging to a category (set in the /menu/categories screen).
Maybe this helps

Category: Human Resources
Group: Human Resources
User: HRtest member of Human Resouces and Registered groups

HRTest (user) cannot create a page from any page in the Human Resources category. HRTest (user) can view and edit pages in the human resources category

HRTest (user) can create a link to a new page from a page in the Human Resources category resulting in "newpage?" when HRtest clicks on the ? hrtest (user) gets an access denied.

Try to turn on the permission tiki_p_edit_structures for the group Human Resources and try if the user can add a page through the menu Wiki / Structures (if you are indeed using structures for your wiki)

it was exactly that, I had granted permission to edit category but when creating a new page it is not automatically in said category and the user could not create a new page.

I had to add the permission to allow editing outside of the category.

I know, I know "noob" I am

Thanks for the help tho
