Hey,

we're recently observing a strange issue with the Forum feature of Tiki 7.1 and have browsed the bug reports with no success:

In our installation, the forums list doesn't show the latest entries any more,

although even anonymous users have rights to view the forum postings. The only user who is presented with a forum list containing the latest entries is the admin.

Also, when visting the topics list of some forum, say

• http://www.bbash.de/tiki-view_forum.php?forumId=3

users are presented a list of the latest entries in that forum, but clicking on the links in that list, they're taken to thread pages which miss every message except the opening message:

• http://www.bbash.de/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=5&topics_threshold=0&topics_offset=3&topics_sort_mode=lastPost_desc&topics_find=&forumId=3

After reviewing the rights of groups and playing with the settings of the forums admin panel as well as the settings of single forums with no success, we're pretty clueless.

We recently activated the comment feature (for wiki pages), the freetags feature, and the rating feature (because we'd like to try message rating in the forums to deal with trolling, see

but we didn't activate those features precisly before the forums list stopped working, so we guess the issue is caused by some finer grained change than simply activating some additional feature.

Could the issue possibly be related to freetagging single forum postings?
