New TikiWiki 10 (beta) Installation - Unable to save preferences/permissions

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, so please let me appologize if not.
I've dared to try a beta of the new Tiki Wiki 10 and got it working pretty easily. However, even though the installation is completely clean and the database has been setup from scratch too, I ran into a weird error right away.
When I try to save certain preferences (not all though), or for example try to set global permissions for groups like 'Registered' (setting the check marks) and pressing 'Save', the page is reloaded but nothing is saved, so the checked entries are unchecked again. No error is seen anywhere even though I've setup Tiki to show all errors.
Could anybody give me a hint on how to fix this or what the problem might be? In this state, its pretty unusable.
