Newby question -- how to permit anonymous users to see tracker items?

We have a tracker, and the items are displayed on a page with the {trackerlist ] macro. We have set in Global permissions that anonymous can view tracker items (and everything else that says "view" or "watch"). But still the page displaying the list says "no records found" unless you log in.

What permissions did we not set?

Some things to check:

  • In which status are new tracker items created? Does the Anonymous group have permission for that status?
  • Do you have custom permissions for the specific tracker? They will override the default group perms.
  • Are you using categories? Check the category permissions, as they will override the group perms.Test

Also, it would be helpful to know which Tiki version you're using.

Thanks Rick.

We have Tiki 11.0

Our items are closed, and view closed items is set for anonymous in global tracker permissions.

I don't see anything under permissions for the tracker that affects viewing by anonymous.

Ok found it.

It looks to me like there are two different sets of individual permissions for a tracker.

One set is if you go to Edit Tracker, there is a permissions list 2/3 of the way down the dialog. This lets you set things like whether the item creator can modify his items.

The other (the one I didn't know about and where our problem was) is when you click the key icon beside the tracker name in the tracker list.
