Category display on Wiki page

Can't figure out how to automatically display categories on a Wiki page.

Also, can't seem to find the setting to force entry of a category when creating a page.

Anyone?

There are multiple ways to do this:
  • Use the Category plugin
  • Use the CatPath plugin
  • Use the category display options on the Admin: Category page.

Look on the Admin: Wiki page. Please see the docs for details. Remember, you can use the Admin Feature Search function to quickly find any Tiki option on any screen.

Tried the Category plugin, but it doesn't display the categories of the Wiki page. It simply allows listing of the categories.

Tried catpath, put it doesn't seem to work. Nowhere do I see the category path on the Wiki pages.

Went to the Category admin page, and enabled everything. Still no love.

And yes, I've read the documentation. And for the life of me, I still cannot find the setting in my admin console to force entry of categories. And yes, I've used the search function to find the options, and the options in the documentation don't seem to exist.

It should appear at the top of the wiki page.

  • Do you have the Category feature enabled?
  • Do you have the Show Category Path feature enabled?
  • Do you have your permissions configured to allow the display of the category?
  • Are you using a customized template?

You might find my primer helpful.

When I use the admin config search for Force Category it is the second option shown

Look near the bottom of the page. Again, you may find my primer useful.

Other things to check:

  • Are your Admin preferences filtering any options?
  • What Tiki version are you using?
  • Are you using a customized theme or any custom CSS?

Turns out I did not. I couldn't find that setting anywhere in the console. But when I search for it, it shows up in the search results.

Same with the Wiki: Force and limit categorization to within subtree of: option. I kept searching, but couldn't find it. But using the "Force category" search term, I found it.

Thank you for your help. I don't know if I'm blind, or just bleary eyed from constantly digging through dozens of different configuration menus.

I'll have to try to rely more on the search feature within the Admin tools.

This is due to your admin preference filter configuration. Excluded options will not display (but they remain "findable" from the search).

Please review the docs or my primer for complete information.
