external wiki: consolidated search?

hello,

I was wondering is it possible to link a wiki on one server to a wiki on a second server so that if you execute a search for a wiki page name on one server, it will search wiki pages from both servers? Using the 'external wiki' admin feature i added an external Wiki, but the search only searched the local Wiki installation.

No, Tiki didn't reach this stage yet. External wikis are merely for ((Links)).
Feel free to come on #tikiwiki with further simple questions.

Bonjour,

We're a large organization out of Montreal with several different departments. We could really use an inter-wiki search engine 💡

thanks/merci

The only solution I see is using a third party like google. Otherwise you would need to "spider" each of the websites and hold a cache of each page to search against.

Its impossible. unless you have access to the databases, in which can you can mod the code to search over the inter-wiki databases.

Think about it logically. Its not possible unless you use google or something.
