    Hi Jörg,

    good hint by Rick - thx buddy 😉 ! When you do a fresh installation of Tiki the preferences of /tiki-admin.php are filtered to basic preferences only, to not confuse newbies with too many options.

    I forget that myself frequently and go nearly mental for 5 minutes due to missing options, until I quickly recall, that I just forgot to add "advanced" and "experimental" preferences to the "basic" preferences.

    Next: when you want the option "send validation e-mail" available on adding users, you HAVE to set this preference first in /tiki-admin.php?page=login.

    If you do not tell Tiki that you want this option active, Tiki will not offer you this option when you add new users - so tell Tiki that you want this active and Tiki provides you with the option.
