    This might seem a very obvious question but can someone point me to a reference that will give information on the significance of setting a users default group as distinct from simply making them a member of that group.

    It seems that it controls which group home page you see but what else does it do?

    Salut Robuste,

    I don’t use that part of Tiki a lot, but there are many scenarios were you want to have a group (different than the "general Registered") set by default for users after specific action (like registration through payment).

    Group are related to many (many) options in Tiki, not only HomePage and permissions.
