a few questions

1: I am using tikiwiki 3.1. I went to the Admin home, then features then enabled the Copyright system. I went to the wiki then edit the wiki and i see no Copyright system?

2: Can I create a wiki page called Test or do I need to call it ThisTest with two words together. Is there a difference when wiki linking?

3: Is there a way to stop the uploading of avatars, and only have members select from a list?

4: I have seen on other tikis, news posted to the homepage and lots of news seen on one page. How can I do that?

1. Did you configure the copyright feature on tiki-admin.php?page=copyright? It seems to be working ok in my 3.1 site if the feature is turned on and the info is input on this admin page.

2. If you use "wikiwords" (option on the wiki admin page), then ))TikiTest(( will be a link automatically (I used reversed double parentheses here to stop it from displaying as a link). If wikiwords isn't turned on, then to make a link you need to use double parentheses like this: ((Test)). Both types of links work the same way, other than that. Pages are created with names the same as the link text. (See doc.tikiwiki.org/Wiki-Syntax+Links.)

3. There isn't an admin option for that, so I guess you'd have to modify the template (comment out or delete the upload code), but I don't know, without looking, which template file is involved.

4. They are using the Articles module. See http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Module+articles for details.

Chibaguy, thank you for the help. I did not know that I had to configure the copyright feature.

your reply button is broken and this topic has 2 replies when there is only 1.

I can’t create a copyright license page at the wiki because I need the wiki for other things. Would the article be good to create a license page?

Yes, there are some bugs in these forums right now, which I believe are getting worked out.

I guess you can use an article for the copyright license page. I haven't used the copyright feature myself so don't know in detail how it works, but if you just need to display some content, an article would work. (But it isn't clear to me, really, why a wiki page wouldn't work. I mean why not one wiki page for the license info, along with whatever else the wiki would be doing?)

I just think that the wiki would not work because members might edit the licence, which I would not want, and I don’t know how to stop members from editing one wiki page.

Is the forum bug also in the download tikiwiki 3.1?
