About adding a link to the image, it is years I don't use the Tiki Swipper and prefer the plugin list (carousel template) solution as most of my solutions built with Tiki are based on trackeritems. (more complicate but more flexible).

I did a 5mn experimentation, and I believe the swipper allows you to add a link to the text of the slide.
I don't see a way to turn the full image into a link.
