Steady Advancement

Regarding Trackers, the Sortable.js library now makes it possible to drag and drop fields on mobile touch devices. Also, offline trackers are now available as part of the PWA feature, as well as other changes. An important Migration Notice is that there is a migration from fieldID to permName related to unified_trackerfield_keys.

Search usability has been improved with "Did You Mean?" and Fuzzy Search. To improve the accuracy and user experience of search functionality, Tiki now introduces spelling suggestions and fuzzy search capabilities across multiple search engines.

Email-based two-factor authentication (2FA) for admins is now available. To enhance administrative account security, Tiki now supports email-based two-factor authentication (2FA) as an alternative to Google 2FA. This additional verification step ensures that only authorized users can access admin-level accounts.

ER Diagram is a new feature to create a data-driven diagram to illustrate the components and relationships in a typical Tiki App (Trackers, Wiki pages, and their connections via plugins).

In other developments, JavaScript and CSS libraries have been moved to the new Build System, the User Tracker feature now enables a default setting for a user tracker item to be added for new users, and a new Calendar feature allows users to include a text note when responding to calendar invitations. Also, Tiki's page structure has been updated to improve accessibility by removing gaps in the heading tree and adding HTML5 'main' elements and ARIA roles and labeling as needed. Many more additions and enhancements are listed on the documentation page.

Tiki 28 is a Standard Term Support (STS) version and will be supported until Tiki 29.1 is released. We encourage all users to upgrade to take advantage of these new features and improvements.
