    • Upgrade to 1.9 rc3

    Hello. I'm trying to upgrade my TikiWiki from 1.8.3 to 1.9rc3.

    The installation of the new release by scratch, without upgrading the db, is ok. I get the first login as admin/admin, and so on. Of course I don't have my data in the db.

    But the installation with the upgrade of the database (using the script provided in the zip file) is not so ok. I don't get any error message but the first login gives me a blank page.

    Can anyone help me?

    Well, procedure is:
    1. backup of actual pgm and db (1.8.3)
    2. install of 1.9 with upgrading of the db
    3. backup of db (1.8.3 upgraded)
    4. re-installation of 1.9 with db creation from scratch
    5. replace of all db (1.8.3 upgraded) with the exception of tiki_preferences

    Now Tiki 1.9 is working.

    The problem concerns tiki_preferences table, but I don' know what is the problem.

    1.9 family of TikiWiki is called unstable, I hope you know some PHP to help fix the bugs when your site crashes !
