Fatal error: Smarty error:

😢

I was editing the Site Identity and now get this error when I try to access my site I've been working on.

Fatal error: Smarty error: in evaluated template line 1: syntax error: mismatched tag {/tr}. (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 2284) in /home/xxxxx/public_html/gamers/tiki/lib/smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1088

Now I can't access the site at all.

How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance 😊

Great, thank you so much!

If you have phpMyAdmin installed on your server, you can access the Tiki database directly. Go to the tiki_preferences table and find feature_siteidentity. Change its value from y to n to turn off Site Identity until it's fixed.

If you can't access the database, but you have FTP access to your Tiki files, you could upload a modified tiki-admin.tpl file that doesn't include tiki-top_bar.tpl. Then you could fix the error that's causing the problem (the missing half of the tr tags).

I checked in the database, but in the tiki_preferences, it doesn't show feature_siteidentity. The only thing that had the words site identity in it didn't have the y or n option.

Where is the tiki files do I find the tiki-admin.tpl file? I'll go that route of just uploading and overwriting the existing file with the mnodified one.
