Email links truncated

I am running two copies of Tiki (on two different machines). One is Apache, the other is IIS. Everything else is the same from an installation standpoint.

When email is sent from the IIS system that contains a link back to Tiki, such as for new user registration confirmations, or for sending messages between users, etc., the link within the email is truncated. In other words, the .php shows up as a .ph so the link doesn't work of course. When it's a new email registration confirmation, the '?' it looks like .ph?, still missing that last p. On the Apache system it's fine.

An example of a bad link looks is:
A new message was posted to you at http://www.mydomain.com/wiki/messu-compose.phQuestion

My Tiki version is 1.9.4 and PHP is 5.1.2.

We have checked the smtp server, but it isn't doing anything with the contents of the email.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
John

After doing some more research/playing around, I have found that not all of the links sent out in emails are bad. For example, the email that is generated when you "Forgot your password" works just fine. Specifically, the links in the emails for message notification, and for new user registrations are bad. I noticed that the way the content of these emails, specifically the way the link is put together is very different. I could understand some of the PHP code I was looking at, but got lost with where some of the variables were populated.. I'm more comfortable with assembler, to be honest.

Has anyone else seen something like this before?
