Rounded corners and transparency

Hello. I am trying to figure out how to make my layout feature all rounded corners (and maybe even some transparency). I found a nice tool for generating the right css for the corners here at http://www.spiffycorners.com/.

I have played with editing my template, but the corners aren't showing. I am not totally clear on where in the theme template's css this code needs to go, or where the html portion needs to go in order for it to show as the style on all pages. confused

I would also like to center everything, but I have read that CSS centering doesn't work in IE. Does anyone know a way to center the page elements so it also shows that way in IE?

It depends on what you want enclosed in a round-corners box. In the case of module boxes, you have to add the spiffycorners HTML to your theme's module.tpl file, more or less at the beginning and the end of the file.

As for the center of the page, you could add the HTML to tiki.tpl so that {$mid) is surrounded. This would be a start for experimenting, anyway.

Of course the corners CSS needs to be added to the theme CSS file.

The Zuka theme uses a similar technique for its borders, based on the 456 Berea Street method.
